Chris, Thanks for sharing your personal thoughts and insights. I am wondering if you have had the opportunity to travel in India and experience Hinduism in is native varied settings?

Karen Armstrong's "History of God" relates to historical paths
I have been to India, to Hyderabad, where I provided a keynote to the Indian videogames conference. However, I was not there for long, and could not claim much personal expertise from this trip. (My hosts did however learn of my love for the Indian sport of kabaddi and arranged for a show game in my honour - and a photo I took of the match ended up in a touring exhibition in the UK!)
Almost all of my encounters with the Hindu traditions have been through books, although I certainly talked with a few practitioners both there and at the Philosophy of Play conferences.
Many thanks for the link, and wishing you a Happy Boxing Day!
Really appreciated this series of insights, Chris. I have been developing a philosophy of post Christendom faith and culture; these ideas both inform and affirm some of my thinking. I would like to dialogue further with you along some of the lines, if you'd value that. Perhaps the new year ahead might allow that to occur. May your Christmas be happy and your days be bright!
Wonderful to hear from you Havakuk, and I am always up for dialogue! I have emailed you on what I hope is your email address to plant the seeds for that.
