Dear friends,
For this month, I am revisiting an old interest of mine: free will. These pieces combine Enlightenment philosophy with familiar concepts from science fiction to paint a picture challenging how we think about our metaphysical freedom. It might also alter how you think about certain science fiction stories as well! I took great delight in writing these reflections, and I hope you’ll enjoy the tapestry they quietly weave.
Support Stranger Worlds
It takes around 200 hours each year to run this philosophy project, so please support Stranger Worlds with a paid subscription if you can. Paid subscribers can also join the discussions in the comment here, and more voices are always welcome.
Or if you have the will and the time for the conversation but lack the money, I am always open to ‘creative barter’ in exchange for a paid subscription, and will accept almost anything in this regard.
With unlimited love,
Chris.
